Uzes the first Duchy of France is famous for its medieval streets and stone facades. Its charming central square "Place aux Herbes" shelters number of the most refined restaurants in the area together with a variety of regional specialties' shops. The square hosts a most vibrant and colourful street market in the region, twice a week on Wednesday and Saturday. A must see. (6km) 2. World renowned Aqueduct of Pont du Gard to be visited over it on foot or under it by kayak, attraction much appreciated by all ages (children over 7 yo only). Pick nick by the water edge is allowed. Don't forget your swimsuit and sun cream. (15km) 3. Avignon's Palais des Papes and its world famous Theatre Festivals in July is within short drive. (35km) 4. Footing or Hiking around the garrigue is 200m away from the property. Climbing up the St Hippolyte mount is also possible 3km away. Walking through the neighbouring villages is an enjoyable activity and no further than 5km away. In Saint Quentin la Poterie village you can hire bikes for a ride. A much less touristy street market also takes place there every Friday. 5.
